Nécrologie de Margaret Beattie
We are deeply saddened by the death of Margaret, at Saint-Vincent Hospital, Ottawa, Ontario. Dear daughter of the late Joy and Kenneth Campbell. Margaret will be dearly missed by her sisters and brothers-in-law, Dorothy and Milton Cooligan and Joan and Jimmy Payne, and her nephew and nieces, David (Rose), Kathy, Debbie and Heather and great nieces and nephew, Jade, Jasmyn and Jordan. She will be fondly remembered by cousins and friends. Predeceased by her husband, Sherwood (2003). Margaret lived in Luskville, Quebec until her move to Ottawa in 2014. She was an avid gardener of vegetables and flowers, made jams and pickles for all to enjoy, and was well known for her cooking talents. Margaret graduated McGill University in 1944. She was then hired to teach at Bristol No. 6 School and retired in 1974 from a career she loved, where she tried to make a difference in the lives of her students. During those years she taught at schools in North Onslow, Eardley and Quyon. It was always a pleasure for Margaret to have phone call, letter or visit from a former student and she remembered them all. She touched the world, she taught. Loving, thoughtful, gentle and kind to the end. Friends may call at the Hayes Funeral Home, 1040 Clarendon Street, Quyon, Quebec on Sunday, October 30, 2016 from 12 to 5 p.m. There will be no visitation on service day.
