Mrs. Beattie (Miss Campbell) was my teacher in grades five through seven. She taught us many valuable lessons not found in textbooks, and was a remarkable role model that I emulated in my own teaching career. May she rest in peace.

Deepest sympathy to her family. Mrs. Beattie was my grade 4 and 5 teacher at Onslow. She was both strict and fair.
I still remember her friend sambo that she kept in her desk. She never used it but mentioned it occasionally.
Sincere sympathy from my Mother Mildred. Her and Margaret were great friends.

Although Margaret was never my teacher, she did stay with my grandparents directly across from street from Onslow Intermediate School. We did know her so very well and she was so kind and gentle. She has been an inspiration to many and will be missed. Our condolences to the family.GBbb2

I had the privilege of having Mrs. Beattie as my Grades 4 and 5 teacher. She was a strict but fair teacher who wanted all her students to do their best. I always enjoyed having a chat with her anytime our paths crossed. My condolences to her family and friends, she was a lovely lady who has earned her rest.

Frank and I extend our condolences to Margaret's immediate and extended families. Frank was one of the fortunate students to have had Mrs. Beattie as a teacher at Onslow. She knew how to bring out the best in her students. I was, also, privileged to have been a teaching colleague of hers in my first two years of teaching at Onslow.
Our friendship with Margaret and Sherwood continued throughout their life times. She touched innumerable lives with her kindness and ability to show empathy to all. All the little angels in heaven will be blessed to have her amongst them.

I remember visiting Aunt Margaret many times when I was younger, with my parents, Earl and Marlene Beattie; then when I was older I would still drop in, always, on my way to visiting relatives in Shawville and Bristol. Margaret always had something cooking and treats for everyone. She was always such a kind-hearted woman who loved children, and years of being a teacher, surely showed that. I had people say to me....I remember Margaret..she used to teach me when I was young...great teacher. My blessings go out to the family during this time. She is now resting with God, by his side, she was such a faithful servant. And I'm sure My dad is there with her - teasing her as he always did!
