Nécrologie de Frieda Clara Krose (nee Zacharias)

Frieda Clara Krose, age 95, of Ladysmith, Quebec passed away peacefully on December 19th, 2023.  Frieda was the much loved wife of the late Fredrick Krose (2001); cherished mother of Darlene Brouilliette (late Marc), late Darwin Krose (Sandra) and Diane Krose.   Loving grandmother of Kim, Lysanne, Angela, Steven, Melissa and Tiffany and great-grandmother to Kohlman, Reis, Gabriel, Brandon, Ashlee, Stanley, Katherine, Alexandra and Ever.  Dear sister of Herbert Zacharias (late Gail).  Frieda was pre-deceased by her brother Delbert Zacharias (Frieda) and sister Velma Krose (late Clifford).

Frieda was beloved by the greater Ladysmith community, a founding member of Oktoberfest Ladysmith and helped form the Thorne Community Recreational Association (TCRA).  She was a devoted member of the St. John’s Lutheran church where she sang in the choir for many decades.  Frieda was always happy to welcome family and friends in her kitchen for a cup of tea or a hearty home cooked meal.   She lovingly tended to her large vegetable and flower gardens and was a skilled seamstress.  Many will fondly remember Frieda well from her 30+ years volunteering in the Oktoberfest kitchen or countless church dinners.

Friends may call at Hayes Funeral Home, 134 Centre Street, Shawville, Quebec on Thursday, December 21, 2023 from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Friday from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m.  Funeral service will be held in St. John’s Lutheran Church, Ladysmith, Quebec on Friday, December 22 at 11 a.m. Interment parish cemetery.
