Our deepest condolences to Darlene, Diane and family. When we became Oktoberfest kitchen directors in 2018 we didn’t know anything about making sauerkraut. We were introduced to Frieda Krose who was excited to show us the process. She was a very warm and welcoming lady. Thank-you Frieda for everything you did for the town of Ladysmith! You will be missed!

Frieda has been a neighbor and friend for all my life, from the time we lived on our farm near their family farm to the days when we resided in Ladysmith with our back yard abutting theirs (Freddy even cut a hole in the fence so we could visit back and forth without needing to go around by the street). Rest in peace, Frieda. Your work here is done.

Dear Darlene, Diane,Sandie & Families,
Frieda, a prominent resident of Ladysmith was like a second mother to me growing up.
I was treated as one of the family, taken to dentist appointments, picnics and shopping.
She reminded me often of our shenanigans (right Darlene?). Frieda even arranged my
"blind date" for High School graduation.
I will always be grateful for her influence & presence in my life.
Remember all the good things, family, love & laughter.
