In hospital, Shawville, Quebec on Sunday, November 26, 2017 at the age of 85 years. Beloved husband of Evelyn Howard for 62 years. Loving father of Janey (Doug MacDougall) and predeceased by son John and infant son James. Cherished Grandpa to Jaime (Kyle Richardson & late Danny Moore) and Jenna and great grandpa of Hudson. Dear brother of Evelyn (late Ronald McCredie) and predeceased by Margaret (late Claude Young). Dear brother-in-law of Ella (late Lloyd Stewart), Irma (late Archie Stanley) and predeceased by Iva (late Keith Brownlee), Marshall (late Linda) and Herb (Marie). He will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Thank you to the staff of the Valentine Centre for their compassionate care of Don. Friends may call at Hayes Funeral Home, 134 Centre Street, Shawville, Quebec on Friday, December 1, 2017 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at which time a Service will be held in the Chapel.
