My sincere condolences to Louisa's family. Louisa was not only a wonderful colleague, but truly an incredible person. She was so kind and caring. She went about doing so many nice things for others in such an unassuming way. Louisa had a fun sense of humour and a twinkle in her eye that made your day better. She will be truly missed

I often think of "Miss Dowe" as we knew her at Pius XII school in Hull in 1989! She was firm, but good natured, and I recall learning some valuable spiritual lessons through her. God bless you Miss Dowe : )

Louisa was a wonderful woman who will be sadly missed by all her family. My children, Chris, Wendy Nick and Brad loved her and will miss her. Louisa loved her nieces and nephews and was always making sure they had their favorite food to eat, would take them to Norway Bay for swim lessons when they were little and always looked out after them. Everyone always looked forward to going to visit. My sympathies to all the brothers, sisters and their families.

My condolences to the family of Mrs. Dowe. She and I worked together across the borders in establishing pen pals between our 2 sixth grade classes and planning for the US class to visit her class in Hull. It is with great honor that I had the opportunity of knowing her. May she rest in peace and never be forgotten.

Mrs. Dowe was my favorite teacher in school. She brought so much happiness into my life. My condolences to you all. She was an angle when she was with us, and now she's an angle looking down on us from above.

Mrs.dowe.. i remember running down the hall ways of my elementary school pius 12 and hearing your voice "JASON! ,YOU STOP RIGHT THERE YOUNG MAN" . I am not gonna lie, at the time for a kid my age, mrs dowe was the teacher you did not want to disappoint. Her voice can echo through the hallways when the kids in her class were up to no good. As intimating as she was, well at least for me, mrs.dowe always taught me one valuable lession.. never let her catch you misbehaving cause trust me whatever u did.. you probably would never do it again :P. She was a great teacher for my brother and I and taught us many simple lessons we still use today in real life.
Thank you mrs.dowe for all of your wisdom, you will live on in our memories until the end of our time on this earth.
Im sure you will be watching over all of us, like you once did back at Pius 12 elementary school.

I moved to hull when I was 5 years old without speaking any English at all, she was my first teacher at Pierre Elliot Trudeau and she taught me how speak English. I'll always remember her for everytime I got off the bus and she would greet us every morning ❤️
