It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother Loretta (Durocher) Reid in hospital, Shawville, Quebec on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 with her family by her side in her 81st year.  Loretta (Durocher) Reid (nee Gallagher) of Waltham, Quebec, wife by first marriage to the late Lyman Durocher and by second marriage to Donald Reid. Loving mother of Shirley (Paul Morin), Sharon (Herbert Fleming) and Charlene (Paul Allard). Dear step-mother of Jim Reid (Heather), Deborah (Brian Roberts), Christopher Reid and David Reid. Cherished grandmother of Derek (Karolann), Tiffany (Daniel), Brittany (Mark), Ashley (Brandon), Matthew (Rikki-Lee), Eric (Ali) and Alexander (Kristen) and by second marriage Jocelyn, Joshua, Kayla, Jen, Christine, Dustie, Clayton, David and James. Proud great grandmother of twenty great grandchildren. Daughter of the late Michael Gallagher and the late Martha Ann (McGuire). Sister of Vida (late Sylvester Raymond) and sister-in-law of Jean Gallagher, Eileen Gallagher Loyal (Betty) Durocher and Cecile Durocher. Predeceased by her siblings and their spouses Earl (Eileen) Gallagher, Elmer (Phyllis) Gallagher, Michael James Gallagher, Eunice (Ellard) Tackney and Francis Gallagher. She will be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Hayes Funeral Home, 56 St. Jacques Street, Chapeau, Quebec on Sunday, August 20, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 21, 2017 at St. Joseph Church, St. Joseph, Quebec at 11 a.m. Interment Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery, Waltham, Quebec.
