Nécrologie de Clement Foran
With a song in his heart and a spring in his step, Clement Mark Foran made his journey to his final home on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at the age of 86 years young. He leaves behind his cherished wife (and soul mate) of 61 years, Joan (Bennett). It was love at first sight 64 years ago.
He will be forever in the hearts of his proud and very loving children, Barry (Charlene), Dan (Sue), Sally (Allan), & Cindy. He is predeceased by his wonderful son Bill (Cynthia) in 2010.
He left a big mark on his adoring grand-daughters Sherri-Lynn (Jake), Meghan (Blake), Kaitlyn (Chris), Stephanie (Rick), Lara (Alex), Rory, Ava, and his great grand-daughter Olivia. Also cherished by special friends of the family - Martha, Dianne, Barb, Gord and Mike.
He will be terribly missed by his best chum & sister Mae (late Ervin McCann), brother Dominic (Bunny) (who were not only family but also their neighbors for more than 50 years), and loving sister Loretta (Bill O’Reilly). Fondly remembered by his sisters-in-law Carol Bennett & Muriel (Ken Foster). Also left to celebrate his life are his countless nieces and nephews who thought he hung the moon. (And he thought the same of you all too.)
Dad (Clemmie) was one of a kind. He came from a large family of 11 and the memories, the fun, and the stories they shared were legendary. (And those are only the ones we know about!)
Dad had a passion for the outdoors, for nature, for working at his sawmill, and working with his hands. The younger lads had a hard time keeping up with dad & not all that long ago.
While he would be reluctant for us to say this, he truly was a grand singer, and a fantastic step-dancer. And nobody could tell a story like Clem.
Thanks Dad for building our first ball field (our own ‘Field of Dreams’) that provided countless hours of fun and shenanigans for the North Onslow friends and family! He was so proud of his family and we felt it in all your gestures Dad.
Special thanks to Tom Tracey, for the generous use of the house to allow Barry & Charlene to be home to offer their loving care and support to Mom & Dad. Thanks to Glenn Foran who made Dad’s last few months so enjoyable with daily drives and chats about the past. Words cannot fully express our gratitude.
Thanks also to the staff of the Pontiac Hospital who showed compassion and gentle care of Dad in his final days. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Pontiac Community Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
