Saddened to hear of Allan's passing. He touched so many and made this lowly grocery clerk feel just as important as the store owner. That was his real legacy. My God will reward you Buddy for your viewing of all as equal and of worth.

Deepest sympathy to Allan's family and friends. My brother Robert was a dear friend of Allan's.The two are now reunited and talking about the good old days. Allan will no doubt tell Robert how bad his sisters Denise and Claire were back in the '50's. Allan was uncle Theo's hired hand who did the hay on our farm along with uncle Lionel. While Allan was on the veranda smoking after lunch, we threw a grey plastic mouse near Allan...we were told he was scared of mice. Well, Allan was off the veranda with the speed of lightning!Today, I realise it was not funny at all! R.I.P. Allan...sorry for the dumb thing we did to you.
