The sad news of Bob's passing has shocked me. I worked with Bob for many years in the Conservation Branch of Parks Canada and I have very fond memories of travelling with him across Canada on more than one occasion to meet with our regional colleagues. We shared a common interest in fishing and we tried to outdo each other with our fish stories. His fish were always bigger than mine. To Carmen, Wayne, Caroline and respective families I offer my sincere condolences.

We are all saddened by news of Bob's passing. He was a great friend and manager during his many years at Parks Canada. Bob "the Bear" was firm, yet fair and supported all of his staff. He has left us with a strong legacy that will continue on.

My condolences to you Carmen and to Bob's family. I worked with Bob for some 25 years at Parks Canada. I remember Bob as a very caring man, a very family and community oriented man. He was dedicated to his job, his employees and his family. He will be missed by all. I am unable to make it tomorrow for the funeral but my sympathies are with you all.
