Dear Fenton's. I am so sorry for your loss. Mrs Fenton was such a generous person. I loved her smile, her laugh. She never said a bad word about anybody. She loved life and she loved everybody around her. I so enjoyed teasing her, she could take a joke, say a joke. I will miss her deeply on the pontoon rides. She was the prefect neighbour at the cottage, always stopped in and asked my mom if she needed anything in town.
She is enjoying a glass of red wine with my dad, uncle Bob Mitchel,aunt Pat Mitchel and Mr. Fenton.
I wonder what they are talking about....

My condolences to the Fenton family on the passing of such an amazing woman. I had the honour of working under Maxine at Marianhill. She was such a wonderful boss. She took us under her wing like an old mother hen. I have never forgotten her and thought of her often. You will be pleased to know us older staff still talk about her (always good) when we talk about the good old days at the hill. I am sure God has a special place for her in heaven.

I have such wonderful memories of fun times at the Fenton cottage in winter and summer, and who could forget the Bear Lake Band, talents played with combs and spoons and all accompanied by Linda and Kathy on guitars. Then the feast would be served. Maxine was such a great cook! Maxine gave me my first paying job at "the custard stand" during my teen years. Later, I enjoyed working beside her in the Pontiac Lionette group. She was the "go to" person for all things about food and catering. Memories are forever and we will miss her but remember her and feel blessed that we knew her. May she rest in peace.
