Brenda,Richard,Debbie & family:
So sad to read about the passing of Gertie. She was and will always be one of my best friends. I was fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to play music with Gertrie and her band "The Country Sound" years ago. She taught me alot of things especially on how to deal with public and always try to fufill their requests, but most of all she taught me how to stand up for myself and not take any guff off anyone. I will treasure those days and the little joke we had between us about her "Baby Blue Eyes". Rest in peace Gertie and hope you are singing your little heart out in heaven with miss Kitty Wells, as I know she was one of your favorites.
