Member of the Laborers’ International Union of North America (LIUNA Local 527 & 527A for over 35 years) Tragically at home in Cornwall, Ontario on Saturday, June 25, 2016 in his 60th year. Born November 1st, 1956 in Shawville, Quebec. Beloved son of Madeline Ostrom (nee Lepine) and the late Asa Ostrom (2008) of Bryson, Quebec. Predeceased by his only son Brody William, his pride and joy, on May 17, 2015. Cherished brother of Billy (deceased 1996) and Barry (deceased 2010). Survived by brother Eldon (Grace Beauchamp), of Bryson, Quebec. Much loved Uncle of Joey (son of Billy), Shawn & James (sons of Barry) and Kenny and Sheldon (sons of Eldon and Grace). Murray was very proud of his Godson, Sheldon. Survived by his great nieces and nephew, many aunts, uncles and cousins and his many friends of Bryson, Quebec where he grew up, and his friends and associates from Cornwall, Ontario. He will be greatly missed by his union brothers and staff and friends of LIUNA Local 527 & 527A, who meant the world to him. Friends may call at Hayes Funeral Home, 134 Centre Street, Shawville, Quebec on Sunday, July 3, 2016 from 6 to 9 p.m. and on Monday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, July 4, 2016 at 11 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, Bryson, Quebec. Interment Parish Cemetery. Reception for family and friends and co-workers to follow in Bryson Lions Club Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations to Immaculate Conception Parish Fund would be greatly appreciated by the family. As for the phrase “Till we meet again, Daddy’s Little Buddy”, which is written on his gravestone, Murray has now reunited and is home with his precious son, Brody
