At home, Clarendon, Quebec on May 25, 2016 at the age of 85 years. Beloved husband of Joyce Kilgour for 58 years. Loving father of Joanne (John Mitchell), Micheal, David and Scott (Arlene Briscoe). Cherished grandpa of 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by granddaughters Ashley, Jaclyn and Rachel. Dear brother of Gladys (Eldon Herault) and Helen and predeceased by Cecil, Marjorie (late Emmerson Park), Melba (late Sylvio Arbic), Boyd (Anita), Hugh (Margaret), Bruce (late Luella), Joyce (Brent McBride) and Marion (Gordon Porter). He will be missed by many nieces and nephews and by his fishing and hunting brother, Neil Sly. Friends may call at Hayes Funeral Home, 134 Centre Street, Shawville, Quebec on Friday, May 27, 2016 from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Funeral Saturday, May 28 to Shawville United Church for service at 11:00 a.m. Interment Austin United Cemetery, Sand Bay, Quebec.
