Although I never knew Robert outside of work, we worked very closely at times. Robert was a kind gentle soul who always had a smile and never confrontational.

During my year's at Air Canada Robert had always been a knowledgable, level headed and practical person but more than that an extremely caring and generous person. Robert and I first met at Quebec Air then worked together at Nationair, and remained friends afterwards. I will always remember the laughs we had on our layovers in Europe. Seeing his picture brings back only good memories. After visiting Robert and Ron on the farm; I saw then that he was fulfilled with his life. My sincere condolences to Ron and Roberts family.

Robert was a joy to work with and just to be around. I loved his enthusiasm for his work and looked forward to seeing him in our training classrooms. Dear Ron:
I am lost for words - but I feel for what you are going through. Please accept my sincere condolences.
As mentioned in the announcement, Robert was so very proud of the farm and fell into his role with ease. During our commutes to work, we had many great discussions on what is takes to become a real "Pontiacer".
Also, as a colleague at Transport Canada, I can honestly say that Robert was a well respected member of the Civil Aviation team and will be greatly missed.
