Nécrologie de Marshall Robert Young

Marshall passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the age of 90.  He and his wife Faye enjoyed 66 years of marriage. 

Marshall was interested in everything his son Nevin (Nikki) and grandson Corey did each day and joked with them when they came for visits.  He worked at the Shawville Dairy, The Creamery, Hilton Mines and owned a General Store in Kinburn before he retired in 1993.  His favourite hobby was racing horses at different race tracks in Quebec, Ontario and New York State.  He was kind and generous to his family, relatives and his many friends.  Marshall will be fondly remembered by step-grandchildren Emily and Ryan.

Marshall was predeceased by his parents Robert and Audrea Young, his siblings; Melvin (Kay), Lawrence (Joyce), Orla (Janet), Linden (Myrtle), Margaret (Donald), Allen and Earl (Marjorie).  He will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at Hayes Funeral Home, 134 Centre Street, Shawville, Quebec on Thursday, May 2, 2024 from 10 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. followed by a Chapel Service at 12:30 p.m.  Interment Maple Grove Cemetery. 

Family and friends are welcome to join us for a reception following the funeral service.
