Nécrologie de Dorothy Brown (nee Sparling)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dorothy Jane Sparling Brown on the 15th of December, 2023 at the age of 90 years. Dorothy passed peacefully with her devoted husband of 70 years, Manly, by her side.

Dorothy was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Jenny Sparling. She was predeceased by her brothers Eldon, Elmer, Donnie, Billy, Dawson, Maurice, and Merlin, and by her sisters Marjorie, Joan and Murielle. She is survived by her brother Lorne and her sister Elaine.

She was the loving mother of Bill (Shirley), Marilyn (Armand), Wayne (Sheila) and Jim (Lynne). She was the beloved grandmother of Jodie, Jennifer, James, Stephanie, Alexander, and Cody, and great-grandmother of Yanick, Josh, Jay, Rilley, Brodey, Bentley, Peyton, Rozlyn and Jase.

She will be forever loved and missed by all.

Friends may call at Hayes Funeral Home, 134 Centre Street, Shawville, Quebec on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.  Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home Chapel on Wednesday, December 20 at 2 p.m.  Interment will follow in St. Andrew’s United Cemetery, Campbell’s Bay, Quebec.
