Nécrologie de Maurice "Sunny" Lafleur
Sunny passed away peacefully at the Shawville Hospital at the age of 78 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He left a big hole in our hearts but we know he would say to each of us “Keep on Trucking!”
His children Andrea and Todd were so loved and cherished by him. He was also so happy in their choices of life partners Jamey Lemay and Cassandra Segretto and grew to love them too. Sunny’s seven grandchildren; Jescey, Bayley, Maggey, Caley, Logan, Audrina and Ella brought such joy to his life. He loved each dearly. He was so glad to have met and spent time with Waylon his first great grand-child. Jescey and Amanda told him that he was to be a great grand-dad again and he was so happy.
Sunny is pre-deceased by his parents Maurice and Lily and three sisters; Ramona, Iona and Connie. He is survived by his brother Timmy. He leaves behind many good memories shared with family and friends.
Thank you to his doctors, the nurses in day medicine, Ginette from the CLSC, the nurses and staff in palliative care, you are all so special!
Sunny, we’ll meet again some sunny day, till then we will hold you in our hearts.
Love always, Mary
A private burial will take place and a Celebration of Life at a later date. Anyone wishing to make a donation in Sunny’s memory can do so to one of the following; the Otter Lake RA, the Otter Lake Fire Department or the Pontiac Community Hospital Foundation.
