Nécrologie de Gwendolyn Eva Wentworth (nee Patterson)

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gwendolyn Eva (Patterson) Wentworth on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at the age of 82.  Loving wife and best friend of Kenneth Wentworth; precious mother of Lynn (John Farmakoulas), Kenneth (Diana Kennedy), Stephen (Katherine Dale); cherished grandmother of Matthew and Travis (Lynn and John); Chloe, Ryleigh, Sawyer (Stephen and Katherine) and Kevin and Corey (Ken and Diana).  Gwen is survived by her dear sisters: Barbara McKnight, Catherine Hughes and Mary Faschoway.  She was predeceased by her parents: Andrew and Olive as well as her brothers Andrew, John, David and Charles; and infant sister Jennie.

She was known to many as a kind, caring, loving woman with a great sense of humor.  She made an impression on many lives in her career as a teacher, never stopped thinking of others and cared deeply for her family.  The annual trip to the Seymour Family reunion was a must for Mum where she could ensure she kept in touch with extended family.  She will leave a large void in our lives that we will fill with our many years of beautiful, cherished memories.

Friends may call at Hayes Funeral Home, 134 Centre Street, Shawville, Quebec on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.  A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at Shawville United Church at 11 a.m. followed by a reception.
