Miss Jane and family. No more phone calls or front desk stops at the office from your dear mother. No more "oh hi Kathy, can I speak to Jane please?" when she would call for you. I remember being at Evelyn's home where she was the gracious and kind hostess. I have many other cherished memories. I have so many fond memories of Aunt "Eben" as I called her when I first learned to talk. She seemed to "magically" appear, willing to help me during any crisis. Many times, I was told that I was like her child. For me, "Auntie Lyn", as I called her as a pre-schooler, has always been special. After my parents bought the Stewart Farm, later called Stanhow, and when I was about two yrs old, I was found waiting for Aunt "Eben", with a bag packed, at the end of our driveway. My Mom, being so understanding too, came to pick me up for supper and said she would drive me back to see Aunt Evelyn afterward. I have so many memories of her love and kindness. I miss her as much as my own mom.

Dear Janey, Doug, and family. Please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of your mom. I remember so well the end-of-harvest suppers she made for us when our fathers worked together to cut hay on both farms. You were very young, but believe me, what celebrations she created. My parents always appreciated working with your mom and dad and considered the association crucial to making both farms as productive as possible in the early years. My deepest sympathies to everyone. I have fond memories of Evelyn and chats when she’d visit Ella next door to me. Words of wisdom as we stood in Giant Tiger one day when I was newly divorced and I still reflect on them today. A lovely human! May the memories you made bring you much comfort now and always.

Janey and family. We are so sorry for your loss. Evelyn and I go back to when I was a young girl in Explorers and CGIT. We had a hiking trip up Luskville falls in which we were told not to put our feet in the water due to blood suckers . Well guess what I did, yep, just had to cool my feet and yep I got a blood sucker. Evelyn came to my rescue as she brought a salt shaker and quickly removed the culprit . I never forgot that time nor her. May God comfort and strength you all at this time of loss.
