Nécrologie de Alvine St-Aubin (née Allard)

C’est avec immense tristesse que la famille de madame Alvine St-Aubin (née Allard) vous annonce son décès survenue le vendredi 10 mars 2023 à l’hôpital de Shawville entourée de sa famille à l’âge de 75 ans après un bref combat avec le cancer.

Fille de feu Hormidas et Marie Allard (née Plouffe). Tendre épouse et meilleure amie de plus de 54 formidables années de mariage à Michel St-Aubin. Mère bien-aimée et dévouée de Pierre (Charlène) et Gilles (Nicole) Grand-maman spéciale et adorée d’Anne, Vincent et Alexandre. Chère sœur de Roland Allard. Elle fut précédée par sa belle-sœur Jahel Allard (née Bénard), son neveu Pascal Allard et sa cousine Olivette Mason (née St-Aubin). Alvine sera grandement manquée par plusieurs cousins et cousines, ses proches ainsi qu’un immense cercle d’amis. 

Alvine avait un amour profond pour sa famille et ses amis ainsi que la musique country qui lui a donné multiples opportunités pour danser des valses et des 'squares' les samedis soirs. À travers son lien avec l'église, elle a eu la chance de se faire de grandes amitiés, servir sa communauté et se maintenir bien ancrée. Sa capacité de rappel et sa passion pour l'histoire de la communauté et ses gens l'ont fait notre généalogiste non officielle et une ressource précieuse lors de son travail pour l'église. 

Nous remercions le personnel de l'hôpital de Shawville ainsi que ceux du CLSC pour leur appui pendant ces moments difficiles. 

La famille recevra les condoléances à la Maison Funéraire Hayes, 134 Rue Centre, Shawville, Québec le jeudi 16 mars 2023 de 19h à 21h. La messe des funérailles sera célébrée le vendredi 17 mars à l’église St-Charles-Borromée, Otter Lake à 11h. L’inhumation prendra place au cimetière paroissial au printemps.

It is with great sadness that the family of Alvine St-Aubin (nee Allard) announce her passing surrounded by her family on Friday, March 10, 2023 at age 75 after a brief battle with cancer. 

Daughter of the late Hormidas Allard and Marie Plouffe. Beloved wife and best friend of Michel St-Aubin of 54 years wonderful years of marriage. Loving and devoted mother of Pierre (Charlène) and Gilles (Nicole). Amazing and adored grandmother of Anne, Vincent and Alexandre. Dear sister of Roland Allard. Predeceased by her sister-in law Jahel Allard (née Bénard); her nephew Pascal Allard and her cousin Olivette Mason (née St-Aubin). Alvine will be sadly missed by many cousins and a huge circle of friends.

Alvine had a deep love for her family, friends and country music which had her dancing squares and waltzes on many a Saturday night. Her connection to the church allowed her to make many friendships, serve her community and keep herself well-grounded.  Her incredible memory for details and her passion for her community's history and its people made her our unofficial genealogist and valued resource while working for the church. 

We wish to thank the staff at the Shawville Hospital and the CLSC for their kind care through this difficult time. 

Friends may call at the Hayes Funeral Home, 134 Centre Street, Shawville, Quebec on Thursday, March 16, 2023 from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, March 17 in St. Charles Borromeo, Otter Lake at 11 a.m. Interment will take place in the spring in the parish cemetery.
