Nécrologie de Sylvia Storey (nee Roy)

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Sylvia Marie Storey (nee Roy) of L’Ile-du-Grand-Calumet on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at the age of 80.  She was born in Azilda, Ontario on September 24, 1942 to the late Maria and Lionel Roy.  Sister of Gilles (Jacqueline), Helene (Lucien), Cleo (Jeanine), Monique (Jean) and Estelle.  Predeceased by her siblings Renald (Jeannette), Armande (late Roland), Marcel (late Huguette), Gerald (Denise) and Yvon. 

Sylvia is survived by her daughter Onna-Lee (Rick) and sons David (June) and Clifford.  Grandmother of Joshua, Samantha, Alex, Valerie, John, Alexandra, Mark and David Jr.  She was also a great-grandmother and a very loved Aunt to many nieces and nephews.  

The family would like to thank the amazing staff at the CHUM Hospital in Montreal that have helped her over the last 14 years.  I would also like to thank her granddaughter Samantha Marie Tabensky-Todd for her help and multiple trips to Montreal and to Calumet Island to assist her grandmother and also to her niece Genevieve Audette-Roy for always making sure she had whatever she needed while in Montreal. 

We love you Mom to the moon and back and will forever be in our hearts.  

A inurnment service will take place in Ste. Marie Cemetery, Sturgeon Falls, Ontario in the spring where she will be reunited with her husband William Ronald Storey.
