Nécrologie de Madeleine Chartrand (nee St-Cyr)

Passed away peacefully in Pembroke, Ontario on Thursday, February 23, 2023 in her 85^th year.  Daughter of the late Odillon St-Cyr and the late Josephine Chaput.  Madeleine was born in Chapeau, Quebec and was the beloved wife of Lucien Chartrand for 64 years. Loving and wonderful mother of Gilles (Dinah), Jean-Guy (deceased), Louis (Christine), Lucie (David), Sylvie (Levi) and Yvon (Julie).  Survived by her sisters Therese (late Edmond), Jackie (late Pete) and Delisca (Jacques) and her brother Jacques (Claire). Predeceased by her brothers Bernard (Katie), Denis (Marilyn) and Donald (Lilianne) and sister Noella (Gilles). She will be missed by her brothers and sisters in law, Leo (late Jacqueline), Edmond (Carmel), Jeannette (late Rene), Germaine and Mariette (Arthur), her grandchildren Natasha, Jillian (Sean), Simon (deceased), Rosalie (Bryce) and Mallorie (Spencer) and ten great-grandchildren. Mado was a devout Catholic who had a special connection to Saint Anthony of Padua. Her welcoming spirit and heart of gold were felt by all who knew her. She maintained a social and active lifestyle well into her 70s; playing volleyball, bowling and fishing. She loved playing cards, music, dancing, and getting together with friends.

Funeral Mass will be held at St-Alphonsus Church, Chapeau, Quebec  on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. followed by a luncheon at Harrington Hall.  Interment of ashes will take place at a later date.
