It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kay after a brief stay at the Queensway-Carleton Hospital at the age of 88 years on Wednesday, November 9th, 2022.
Retired A.J. Freiman employee and native of Pointe Claire, Quebec.
Kay’s Dad worked for the CPR railway and was stationed at Maryland, Quebec for a period of time. This is where Kay and Cecil first met.
They were married in Campbell’s Bay, Quebec and afterwards took up residence in Ottawa.
Beloved wife of the late Cecil Hannaberry. Dear mother of Glenn, Brian and Ann Marie. Survived by her sister-in-law Joan, sister Irene (late Dan Gravelle) and brother Reggie Arbour (later Ella).
In addition, late family members are: Bernie, Donald, Leo and Eileen, Jack (late Jeannie), Shirley and Henry, Ernest and Helen.
Predeceased by her brothers-in-law: Herb (late Lou), Mildred (late John Cain), Phil, Art, Edwin, Inez, Rita (late Merlin McKee) and Gerald.
Friends may call at the Hayes Funeral Home, 134 Centre Street, Shawville, Quebec on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Edward’s Roman Catholic Church, 36 Aylmer Road, Bristol, Quebec. Interment in the parish cemetery at a later date.
