Nécrologie de Leonard Lloyd
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Leonard Lloyd on Sunday, September 18, 2022. Lennie celebrated his 79th birthday on July 13, 2022.
In the last years of his life, Lennie’s many ailments left him wheelchair bound and unable to roam the Pontiac as he loved to do. We take solace knowing he has been reunited with the love of his life, Margaret, and together they’re dancing cheek to cheek to a Conway Twitty song.
As Lennie entered heaven, he most certainly was already aware of what needed to be fixed, who he needed to talk to, what committee he was going to run for and asking where he could lodge a complaint. Love him or hate him, Lennie got things done through his dogged persistence or sheer ability to outlast his opposition. He would have been a fierce contender on the TV show Survivor!
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard Lloyd Sr. and Ruth Stoops and siblings Charlie (late Edie) and Edie (Denis Grainger). He will be missed by his sister Betty (Joseph Lepine) and brother Jimmy.
While Lennie never had children, he shared a special relationship with his little cousin Sandra and was very fond of his many nieces, nephews and cousins. The family wishes to acknowledge the care and compassion given to Lennie during his time at the Shawville Long Term Care Centre, especially Véronique Lamoureux.
The family wishes to thank all those who were able to see past his gruff exterior and show kindness and love. Kindness costs nothing yet can make the world of difference in someone's life.
A private graveside committal will take place on October 15, 2022, at St. Thomas Cemetery, Norway Bay, Quebec.
