Willie's sense of humor. Bunch of kids throwing rocks at a wasps nest, I was stung and an eye was swollen. He said "Oh, I thought you were half asleep!". I tried to persuade him to come and visit, telling him to come during Stampede, when there's lots of "well-lubricated cowgirls around". He was in his 80's at the time.

It will be hard to come back to the Island and not plan a visit with Uncle Willie. It was always great to visit with him and to get some treats from the wooden turtle on the table. He had a quiet and calm personality but also a great sense of humour . I’ll always think of him when I see Reba McIntyre or Doublemint gum. He will be greatly missed. Mandy, Peggy, Dylan ,Dave and Boys

Condolences to family and friends of Willie. Willie was a very interesting man to talk to. He spoke in a very quiet tone which forced you to listen intently to his every word. He was a great neighbor and will be missed by all who knew him. RIP Willie !
