Nécrologie de Jeffrey Dean

As the result of a skydiving accident, Jeff passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at the age of 47. Loving husband of Melissa and father of Audrey and Evelyn.

Survived by his parents Allan and Gail, brother Michael, sister-in-law Cailin and son Ryan. Also survived by Melissa’s parents Robert and Faye Lavergne and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Jeff was an avid sportsman who had a passion for skydiving, flying his airplane, driving his motorcycle and hunting and fishing.  Jeff was a co-founder of Skydiving Ratings Canada, with a vision of helping young skydivers set goals and develop into coaches and instructors. Jeff loved his job as a member of the Ottawa Fire Service and helped launch the Ottawa Fire Service Youth Venture Program.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at 11 a.m. in Shawville United Church, 410 Main Street, Shawville, Quebec. A reception will be held in the church hall immediately following the service. There will be no visitation prior to the service. A private family interment will follow at a later date.
