Nécrologie de Ortha Bonshor (nee Dowe)

It is with the deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother.  Cherished and remembered mother to her son Murray and grandson Kyle.  Predeceased by her parents Hector Dowe and Mabel Cochrane, her husband Douglas Bonshor, her brother Arden Dowe and her parents-in-law Florence and Fredrick Bonshor.    Ortha was born on her farm and was truly a “country girl”.  She loved animals, her church, her community and the outdoors.  She loved her pets, gardening, painting, baking, cooking, sewing and working outside.  Ortha loved her Beechgrove Community, where she resided the vast majority of her life.  She developed extremely good friendships and loved going to Zion, Wesley and Quyon Churches.  She loved her friends and always helped her community. 

Friends may call at Hayes Funeral Home, 1040 Clarendon Street, Quyon, Quebec on Friday, November 12, 2021 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday, November 13 from 9 to 10:15 a.m. where family will share memories and farewells. Funeral Service will be conducted on Saturday, November 13, 2021 in the Wesley United Church, Beechgrove, Quebec at 11 a.m.  Interment in Zion United Cemetery.
