Nécrologie de Lennis Bretzlaff

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our dear father, father-in-law, Ta, brother and friend in his 84th year.  Predeceased by his loving wife Myrtle Lance.  He leaves behind his children Kevin (Anne), Shelley (Colin Gauthier), his grandchildren Tiffany and Helena (Natasha), his friend Sharron and his siblings Rachel (late Gerald Stokes), Lorne (JoAnne), Mel (Marion), Joyce (late Mev Harris), late Jean, (Ken Evenson), Roy (Steward Schwartz)  and Gale as well as many nieces and nephews and beloved friends.  He was a friend to all who knew him, known for his gentle teasing, easy laugh, huge heart and storytelling.  Expert carpenter, master maple syrup maker were only a few of his many talents, every task met with precision.  If it wasn’t perfect it wasn’t good enough.  He loved fishing, hunting, travel and socializing.  Always loved to sit and have a chat.  His marksmanship earned him the title of Rifleman early on.  He viewed life with wonderment and awe and was always ready for the next adventure.  He lived a simple life of faith and hope, never sitting idle for too long unless it was to chat, content with loving life and enjoying each day.  It was an honour and privilege to be part of his life.  Special thanks to the Shawville hospital staff for the care, compassion and encouragement he received were above and beyond.  His loss will be forever felt.  Friends may call at the Hayes Funeral Home, 134 Centre Street, Shawville, Quebec on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, August 4, from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m.  Funeral Service will be conducted on Wednesday August 4, 2021 in the Zion Lutheran Church, Schwartz, Quebec at 11 a.m.  Interment Zion Lutheran Cemetery.  Donations to the Pontiac Community Hospital would be greatly appreciated.
