It is with a heavy heart that we announce the peaceful passing of our mother Colette on Sunday, January 24, 2021 in her 96th year. Daughter of the late Joseph and Rose Pigeon (nee Gervais) of Calumet Island, Quebec. Beloved wife of the late Delbert McTiernan and Theophile Spencer both of Bryson, Quebec. Loving mother of Dennis (Barbara Zohr), Colleen (Jack Griffin), Lynn (Greg Wrinn) and stepson Thomas McTiernan (Jeanne Godin). Treasured grandmother of Leslie (Chad), Lindsay (Yanic), Candace (Ken), Ryan (Isabelle), Nathan, Lukas (Jessica), Nolan, Rachel Ann, Laura Maye (Adam) and Christopher (Deanne). Cherished great grandmother of Dylan, Edyn, Léanne, Parker, Benjamin, Sawyer, Tyler, Nash, Holly, Kieran, Cole and Reid. The Spencer-McTiernan family wishes to express its deepest gratitude to the staff of the Friends of St. Joseph’s Manor, Campbell’s Bay and the Manoir Sacré-Coeur of Fort-Coulonge for their compassion, diligence and professionalism. As an expression of sympathy, random acts of kindness in the spirit of “Pay It Forward” would be appreciated. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Immaculate Conception Church, Bryson, Quebec on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 in private and intimacy of the immediate family only. Interment Immaculate Conception Cemetery in the spring. A celebration of life service will follow at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Hayes Funeral Home, Shawville, Quebec. Grand-mère dévouée de Leslie (Tchad), Lindsay (Yanic), Candace (Ken), Ryan (Isabelle), Nathan, Lukas (Jessica), Nolan, Rachel Ann, Laura Maye (Adam) et Christopher (Deanne). Arrière-grand-mère spéciale de Dylan, Edyn, Léanne, Parker, Benjamin, Sawyer, Tyler, Nash, Holly, Kieran, Cole et Reid. La famille Spencer-McTiernan tient à exprimer sa plus profonde gratitude au personnel des Amis du Manoir St-Joseph de Campbell’s Bay et du Manoir Sacré-Cœur de Fort-Coulonge pour leur compassion, leur diligence et leur professionnalisme. En guise d'expression de sympathie, des actes de gentillesse au hasard dans l'esprit de "Payer au Prochain" seraient appréciés. La messe des funérailles sera célébrée le mercredi 27 janvier 2021 à l'église Immaculée Conception, Bryson, Québec en privée et dans l'intimité de la famille immédiate seulement. Inhumation au cimetière paroissial au printemps. Une célébration de sa vie suivra à une date ultérieure. Arrangements confiés à la Maison Funéraire Hayes, Shawville, Québec.
