Nécrologie de Iva Lois Elliott (nee Wilson)
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our mother at the Bonnechere Manor, Renfrew, Ontario on Friday, March 20, 2020 in her 100th year. Beloved daughter of the late Harvey Wilson and the late Elizabeth “Lizzie” Barber. Dear wife of the late Hubert Elliott, together forever in life for over 60 years. Loving mother of the late Ruth, Glenn (Joyce), the late Lorna, Beth Gatchell (late Edward), Nora Schock (Elson) and Barry (Brenda). Cherished grandmother of the late Mark, Rik, late Robert “Rob”, Matthew, Erin, Sharon, Heather, James, Davin, Kristin and Courtney. Great grandmother of Senna, Nathen, Delilah, Madison, Otto and Oliver. Survived by her sister Lillian Emmerson (Bruce), her brother Robert (Mary) and her sistersinlaws Claire Wilson, Dorothy Wilson and Isabel Elliott (late Bud). Predeceased by her sister Doris and her brothers Morley (late Jeannette), Neil (Claire), Ross (late Sadie), William (late Rose), Arthur (late Irene) and Kenneth (Dorothy). Iva will be remembered by her many nieces, nephews and even to her own children she has always been such an inspiration with great spirit, wisdom and determination. Iva was proud to be the matriarch of “Stoney Batter Wilsons” for many years treasuring her family and her service to the Stark’s Corners United Church. Iva became a lifetime member of both the United Church Women (UCW) and the Women’s Institute and is now “Safe in the Arms of Jesus”. Further information regarding funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date. Many thanks to all the doctors, nurses and caregivers at the Bonnechere Manor and also to friends and relatives who took time out of their lives to visit mom and brighten her day.
