It is with great sadness that the family of Marjorie D. Hodgins announces her passing after a brief illness on Friday, March 13, 2020 at the age of 80 years. Daughter of the late Lawrence and Jennie Sparling. Marjorie will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 63 years, Lloyd and their daughters Diane (late Bruce) and Polly. Marjorie will also be cherished in memory by her grandchildren, Adam (Mishal), Joshua (Robyn) and Jennie (Marc) and great granddaughters Ashlyn, Hailie and Quinn. Dear sister of Dorothy (Manley), Elaine (late Andy), Lorne (Dorcas) and predeceased by sisters Joan (late Leonard), Muriel (Merle), Elmer (Barbara), Eldon (late Jean), Donald, Connie, Maurice (Barb), Dawson (Betty) and Billy. Cherished sister-in-law of Mabel (late Myrland), Doreen (late Phillias), Lorn (Bernice) and Ron. Predeceased by Eileen (late Charles), Reuben, Herbert (late Norma), Dorothy, Glen (Jean) and Velma. Marj worked very closely with Lloyd together in their Furniture and Appliance Business since October 2, 1972. Friends may call at Hayes Funeral Home, 134 Centre Street, Shawville, Quebec on Monday, March 16, 2020 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Funeral service will be held in Bethel Pentecostal Tabernacle, 209 Centre Street, Shawville on Tuesday at 1 p.m. Interment Shawville Pentecostal Cemetery. A reception will follow at Bethel Pentecostal Tabernacle. Donations to the Shawville Pentecostal Cemetery fund would be appreciated by the family.
