Nécrologie de Reta McColgan (nee Mackay)

It is with great sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at 96 years of age. Cherished wife of the late Edward (Eddie) McColgan of Quyon, Quebec; devoted and loving mother of Edward (deceased), Chris, Mark (deceased), Don, Chuck and Geoff. Reta is survived by her 13 grandchildren and many great grandchildren, all of whom adored her. Raised in Shawville, Quebec, Reta married Eddie and moved to Quyon, where they lived with their six boys and operated the Quyon ferry for many decades. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends, and remembered for her strength, generosity, and wonderful sense of humour. Special thanks to the staff at New Orchard Lodge for their care and compassion. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at a later date. Donation to the St. Mary's Cemetery fund would be appreciated.
