Nécrologie de Joan Moffatt (nee Weaver)

On Monday, February, 17, 2020 surrounded by her family, Joan Annie (Weaver) Moffatt passed away peacefully from this life into a new life with her Lord and Saviour. Joan was born on July 26, 1934 to her parents Reverend Jacob H. and Phyllis Weaver who lovingly welcomed her into this life just as they were there to welcome her into her eternal one. Her beloved husband of 56 years, Benson Moffatt was also there to celebrate her arrival, having gone on ahead just a few weeks earlier. Left to mourn their loving mother are Darryl (Angela), Barry (Patti) and David (Diana). She leaves behind her cherished granddaughters; Carissa, Canyssa, Sofie, Sheridan and Beatrix. Joan was the dear sister of Catherine (Paul Tanser) and was predeceased by her brother John (Alice) Weaver. She will be missed by her brother-in-law Harland (Velma) Moffatt and her sister-in-law Emily (Vaughan) Reynolds as well as several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Hayes Funeral Home, 134 Centre Street, Shawville, Quebec on Friday, February 21, 2020 from 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral will be held in New Hope Christian Fellowship Church on Saturday, February 22 at 10 a.m. Interment Maple Grove Cemetery. Donations may be made to New Hope Christian Fellowship Building Fund.
