My deepest sympathies to Elayne and the Strutt Family. Blaine was a magician with a boat engine. If you spent time with him on the water, especially at sunset, as he listened and tuned an engine, you saw a man that was in his element, happy and at peace. May the LORD provide those elements for you now good buddy. We will miss yah!

I met Blaine through my late husband Bill so many years ago. I always enjoyed watching them work together on boats and stern drives and laughed at their conversations. Bill always said Blaine was the best diagnostician he had ever met when it came to mysteries of motors. I am so glad I saw him a few days ago when we had a good chat. I will miss him. He was a comfort to me when Bill passed away and I will always remember him with fondness. Rest easy Blaine. You will be missed.

Elaine and Family,
So sorry to hear about Blaine's passing today.
Blaine had a wisdom about him that was both unique and brilliant about cars, boats (and life) that only years of hard experience can provide. He was the 'old school' type whose friendship was earned and a great guy to be mentored from when it was.
Dad worked on cars and boats with Blaine over many years. Growing up it was fun watching him and Dad work together, they accomplished a lot and had a lot of fun doing it at the garage. I hope he's found Dad again and they are contemplating the next engine or sterndrive together.
My deepest condolences and best wishes to you and yours.
