BROWNLEE, Elwyn Bruce

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Elwyn Bruce (Teddy) Brownlee on Monday, February 18, 2019 in his 73^rd year. Beloved husband of Betty Brownlee (Hodgins) for 47 years and much loved father of Marty (Beth) and Cory (Jacqueline). He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Ethan, Cole, Mary Jane, Remi and Hadley. Special uncle to Kathy Tubman (Stuart) and their boys, Michael and Devon. Survived by his sisters Marie and Barbara Ann (Rudy Lorrain) and brother Elson.  Predeceased by sister Jean (Versal Smith) and brother Denzil.

Ted was an active and dedicated member of the community who enjoyed contributing his time to helping others –whether it was coaching and managing minor hockey, serving as a long-time member of the Shawville Lions Club or driving taxi. He always displayed a passion for the area he called home.  An avid wood worker and golfer, he enjoyed the simple pleasures and time with family, over all else, and will be greatly missed.

Friends may call at Hayes Funeral Home, 134 Centre Street, Shawville, Quebec on Saturday, June 22, 2019 from 10 to 11 a.m. at which time a service will be held in the chapel.  A reception will follow in the funeral home.  Interment Maple Grove Cemetery.   Donations to the Shawville Lions’ Club or the Pontiac Community Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.   www.hayesfuneralhome.ca
