Please accept my condolences for your loss. Having been through the pain of losing a family member recently I can truly sympathize with all. I didn’t know Suzanne but from the heartfelt comments it’s obvious that she was loved by all. Something that helped me through the grieving was reading my Bible. There are so many uplifting scriptures to read that it wasn’t long before I felt better. Revelation 21:4 was especially soothing when it speaks about how God will wipe away our tears and suffering would be no more. Please take a minute to open your own Bible and read, it will really help.

I’m so sad and sorry to hear about Cookie. My condolences to the family. We grew up together through grade school in Ottawa East and at Canadian Martyrs. We reconnected later in life but briefly as we lived so far apart. One of the first ‘mixed’ parties we had in grade school was at Cookie’s house with the parish priest and her parents sitting at the kitchen table watching us in the living room. Quite a few years ago I visited Cookie at Norway Bay. She was ageless and we reminisced but keeping in touch didn’t happen. But when my Mom died a few years later, there was Cookie and Arlene at the funeral. I was in a haze and don’t think acknowledged how much I appreciated their being there. I love the photo and see her in it as the long haired girl in grade school.

Dear Dan, Heather and family, We are so sorry to hear about the passing of your dear Mother. Cookie was such a great member of the Quyon Lionettes. I can still see her smiling face and hear her funny little stories that she shared with us. She was a very active member, participated by helping with events even when we knew she was not feeling well. We will certainly miss her and feel privileged to having known such a great person.
