Nécrologie de George Murdock
George Edward Murdock, of Shawville QC, passed away on Thanksgiving Sunday, October 7, 2018 in the Shawville Hospital at the age of 74 years.
George was born on August 11, 1944. George was retired, but he did have an interesting career as a Truck driver at the Hilton Mines, Pontiac School Bus Driver, TransporAction Driver, Pontiac Firefighter, Owner of Murdock Carpet and Décor, as well as a Professional Photographer. He could always be spotted at special events and gatherings with his camera in hand, waiting for the perfect shot. Photography was a lifelong passion of his, ever since his mom bought him his first camera as a young boy.
George is survived by his loving and caring wife Helen Acres Murdock as well as his sons and daughters; Peter (Chantal), Tammy, Larry, Darwin and Judy (Richard); his grandchildren Kaylie (Greg), Jordan, Sheri (Matt), Deanna and Allen, and his great-grandchildren Gracie, Walker and Fisher, his brothers and sisters; Don (Louise), Tom (Leona), Linda (Alec), Deanne, Bernie, Marc (Maureen) and many wonderful nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held in Bethel Pentecostal Tabernacle, Shawville, Quebec on Friday, October 12, 2018 at 2 p.m. The interment will follow at the Shawville Pentecostal Cemetery. The family will receive condolences in the church from 1 to 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society on behalf of George’s brother Don who is currently battling the disease. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all of the doctors, nurses, friends and family who have been a constant light for the last few years.
