Everett passed away in Pontiac Community Hospital Long Term Care, Shawville, Quebec on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at the age of 92. Loving husband of the late Evelyn Palmer. Son of the late John R. McDowell and the late Elma Hodgins. Predeceased by sister Ina(late Walter Kilgour)  and niece Margaret (Gary Hodgins). Will be missed by nieces and nephews Mary (Andre), John (Linda), Allan (Tamara), Jennifer ( Bob), Ian, Kaleb, William, Joshua and James.  Friends may call at Hayes Funeral Home, 134 Centre Street, Shawville, Quebec on Friday, April 20, 2018 from 7-9 p.m. There will be no visitation the day of the service. Funeral in Shawville United Church on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 11 a.m.   Reception to follow.  Interment Maple Grove Cemetery at a later date. Donations to Shawville United Church or the Pontiac Community Hospital Foundation Long Term Care would be appreciated.
