Nécrologie de Arthur Maitland Carson

Arthur Maitland Carson, born December 22, 1931 in Austin, Clarendon, QC, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2018 in the Pontiac Community Hospital in Shawville.  Son of the late Clarence Carson & Elsie Maitland.  Survived by his wife of 62 years Opal (nee Smart), sons Brent (Susan), Blake (Heather) and Murray, and grandchildren Danny (Sarah), Jennifer (Chad), Kaitlyn, Kathryn, Philip and Stephen, and great grandchildren Dalton, Lucas, Grady, Reed and Aubree.  Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by siblings Eleanor (late Ervine Brownlee), Norma (late Fred Russell), Reta (late Delmer Barber and late Carl Garlough), Jim (late Evelyn Russett), Lindsey (Maureen Smith) and an infant son.

Art was an avid hunter, fisherman, farmer and long time proud employee of Hayes Funeral Home.  The white-tailed deer in the front of Clarendon are a lot safer now! 

Friends may call at Hayes Funeral Home, 134 Centre Street, Shawville, Quebec on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m.  Funeral will follow in Shawville United Church at 11 a.m.  Interment Austin United Cemetery.  Donations to Shawville United Church or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
