Passed away peacefully in hospital, Shawville, Quebec after a brief illness with pneumonia at the age of 91 on Saturday, February 3, 2018. Daughter of the late Ernest Atcheson and the late Martha Steel. Beloved wife of the late Grenville. Dear mother of the late Brian (Monica), Marlaine (Frank Palmer) and Evelyn (late Barry Sprigings). Loving grandmother of David (Tina), Wendy (Brad), Jillian (Darren), Philip (Cheryl), Laura (Cory), Matthew (Deek), Timothy (Kayla), Angela (Matthew), Dan (Lori) and Stephen (Bryna). Proud great grandma of 15 great grandchildren. Predeceased by brothers Harold (Calgary, AB) and George (Athelstan, QC). Elsie was a very active member of her community. Friends may call at Hayes Funeral Home, 134 Centre Street, Shawville, Quebec on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. A Women’s Institute Service will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 2:30.  Funeral Thursday, February 8 in St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Shawville, Quebec at 11 a.m.  Interment Maple Grove Cemetery.  Donation to St. Paul’s Anglican Church Restoration Fund or the Pontiac Archives would be appreciated.
